These are some pictures of a painted pine kitchen we built in 2007

made from solid pine with a pine carcass and painted in Buttermilk 

with solid oak block worktops

integrated dishwasher in sink unit

painted dresser with wine rack

Worktops available in Walnut, Ash, Cherry, Iroko or Beech

You can tell if your worktop needs re-oiling with a simple test. If you drop some water on the surface and it forms a bead it is sealed. If you drop some water on the surface and it spreads, the worktop needs another coat of oil.
